We have a team of 6 part-time qualified Music Therapists. Music therapists in the UK undertake one of the seven recognised Masters degree training courses in music therapy. Music therapists are required to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. To maintain registration therapists are expected to engage in clinical supervision and participate in a Continued Professional Development programme.
The charity co-ordinator, Mary Clayton, has over 25 years of Music Therapy experience and heads up the therapy team. Members of the team, Carolyn, Paul, Maggie, Sarah, Michael and Hilary give a brief overview of their work with individuals and groups in a variety of settings.
We are committed to promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and keeping them safe. We regularly request DBS (previously known as CRB) checks on all our therapists.
