Jez

Jez photo I used the opportunity that redundancy offered me in a previous career to take up work in a musical field, which had been a long held wish.  Since graduating from a Nordoff Robbins music therapy training course, I have worked in several homes for people with dementia, numerous schools with children aged 7 to 17, a college, and also with young adults with mental health difficulties in a few different settings, including within a prison.

I have always been passionate about music and its ability to stimulate, move and support people, and my work has enabled me to explore the ways in which this can be done using the unique skills and abilities of the individual.  I enjoy helping people to become energised and creative, often in ways they didn’t know they could manage, and to see the support it can bring to both them, their peers, and those that care for or work with them.
