Our Aviva Community Fund Crowdfunder campaign

We recently launched a Crowdfunder campaign through the Aviva Community Fund scheme.

The campaign, entitled Music Therapy Online, is designed to enable us to expand our online  sessions and make them available to anyone who thinks they could benefit from such support. By providing online therapy, many more people can access our service, and from a wider geographical area.

We are so grateful to the people who have already signed up to support us and help us reach our funding target.

Please visit: https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/music-therap for more information about how to support us and to donate to our campaign.

Postponement of face-to-face sessions

We are sad that it has been necessary to postpone all our face-to-face sessions at present because of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

However as evidenced throughout the Covid -19 Pandemic, music is a wonderful tool for bringing people together even whilst maintaining social distancing.

We have continued to provide support to our service users through on-line music therapy sessions.

Our highly trained therapists are skilled in the specific use of music to promote social interaction and are well equipped to support people during this very stressful time.

We have moved

We are pleased to announce that on January 22nd we moved to new premises.

We are now based at the Lee Jones Centre in Limekiln Lane, Liverpool.

The Centre is run by the League of Welldoers , Liverpool’s oldest independent charity.

Their aim is to ‘’reach out to people of all ages in the community of Merseyside and provide opportunities to maintain and improve their quality of life”. At MusicPlace we share similar aims, using the wonderful tool of music, so we feel we fit in very well.

The community at the Welldoers have made us very welcome. We were very sad to say goodbye to our friends at the Ark (where we were based previously) but we keep in touch with the L’Arche community.
